• Leaving you RV idling for long periods is a huge waste of fuel not to mention the needless harm to the environment. If you are going to be sitting for a while, turn the engine off.
• Decrease your engine speed when possible by using the highest possible gear.
• A faulty oxygen sensor alone can cause a 40% reduction in fuel economy.
• Cruise Control is your best friend, it keeps your vehicle at a steady speed which does not waste fuel through acceleration and deceleration.
• Any added weight will also reduce your economy.
• Air conditioning puts up to 33% more stress on your engine, which lowers mileage.
