Types of RVs

A new RV can be your ticket to an exciting new life on the road. RVs combine comfortable living quarters with the ability to be transported nearly anywhere. RVs can range in cost anywhere from $3,000 for a small fold-up model up to $500,000 for a top of the line motorcoach.

Before you go shopping, you need to first get a basic understanding of how RVs are classified. There a two basic types of RVs; towable RVs and motorized RVs. Towable RVs are meant to be pulled behind the vehicle of your choosing and than parked at the desired location. In general, towable RVs are small enough that they do not require a special moving permit. Towable RVs can be divided into four subcategories.
